-----Identity is one of the most dominant characteristic humans possess. Who we are and how others see ourselves seems to consume us at times. Numeric Identities is a light based installation that directly deals with identity. Specifically, the work comments on our desire to protect identity or self image at all costs. Ironically, this process seems to be amplified when we enter new or unfamiliar territory. Rather than expand our notions of who we are or what we could be we inevitably struggle to hold on to the status quo of our self image.
